I am so immensely proud and thrilled to inform you that I have finished the first draft of my novel Ascension!

For those of you who may not know, Ascension is the sequel to my very first novel, Constellation. It follows the story of Selene who finds herself teleported to the Moon and in possession of great powers. She is told she is a great warrior sent to protect the Moon and the Earth from divine threats.

It has been nearly two years since I published Constellation. Writing the sequel has been a painfully long process. There were many aspects that made it difficult; among them self-doubt was a big problem. I think no author is ever rid of it. Nothing you write is ever good enough and you start feeling you are not good enough for the beautiful ideas that honoured you with a visit. 2020 has not been easy either and the psychological toll was a heavy one, which simply did not help with the writing situation. But it is done! I am so happy that I only managed a few minutes away from my happy dance to write these lines.

Ascension will be self-published as well and I am excited with what is to come! I intend to publish it in Autumn 2021 and hopefully I will manage to stick to the plan. There are many steps before that is achieved. My first draft is currently hibernating until the end of January. I think I can really call it that, considering it is snowing quite heavily right now.

Then the fun and yet daunting process of editing will start!
